Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a BirrClass account or accessing any BirrClass service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Definitions

"BirrClass" refers to the platform operated by BirrClass. "Entity" refers to any organization, school, or individual educator that creates classes on the platform. "Learner" refers to a user enrolled in a class. "Commission" refers to the percentage BirrClass retains from each paid enrollment.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 require parental consent. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Entity Responsibilities

Entities are responsible for the accuracy of their published classes, the quality of instruction, the legality of their content, and compliance with local regulations in their jurisdiction. BirrClass is a hosting platform and does not endorse or guarantee the quality of any entity's content.

5. Commission

BirrClass charges a commission on each paid enrollment, default 8% of the gross amount. Commission is deducted from the entity's share. Free enrollments incur zero commission. Per-gateway fees (PayPal, Paystack, Flutterwave) are borne by BirrClass and not passed to the entity.

6. Payouts

Payouts are scheduled weekly by default, with a 7-day hold for chargeback safety. Minimum payout threshold is $10 or ₦5,000 equivalent. Pro tier enables daily payouts; Scale tier enables instant payouts.

7. Refunds

Refund policy defaults to 100% if before class starts, 50% within the first week, 0% thereafter. Entities may configure custom refund policies per class. Refunds are processed via the original payment gateway.

8. Prohibited Content

You may not publish content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence. Violations may result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of pending payouts. See our Acceptable Use Policy for details.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. BirrClass may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, pending payouts will be processed within 30 days minus any chargebacks or refunds.

10. Disclaimer

BirrClass is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lagos State.
