1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: name, email, phone (optional), profile data. We also collect usage data (pages visited, features used, device info, IP address) automatically when you use the platform.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to: provide and improve the service, process payments, send transactional and marketing emails (marketing opt-out available), prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with: payment processors (to complete transactions), email providers (to send transactional email), legal authorities when compelled by valid process, and successors in case of merger/acquisition.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security: argon2id password hashing, TLS encryption in transit, encrypted credentials at rest, MFA for privileged accounts, append-only audit logs. Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights

You may: access your data via /app/settings, export it via CSV/JSON, request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements for financial records), opt-out of marketing emails, withdraw consent for non-essential processing.

6. Children's Privacy

BirrClass is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it. Learners under 18 require parental consent.

7. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. By using BirrClass, you consent to such transfers in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (bc_access, bc_refresh, bc_csrf). We do not use third-party tracking cookies. Analytics are first-party only.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
